She earned a diploma in Interior Design from Fanshawe College, London, Ontario and took one year of Fine Art at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario.
Lynda has also taken courses in Watercolour, Printmaking, Fashion Illustration, Architectural Perspective and Airbrush from the Ontario College of Art, Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto and from Alberta College of Art in Calgary.
While working different area’s of Design she happened upon architectural rendering. She apprenticed with Bill Ross of Calgary for 2 years and then struck out on her own. After marriage and two daughters she pursued painting full time.
She has shown locally at Marba Art Gallery, Gallery Connexion, Sue Lawrence Spa, and La Centre Communitaire Saint -Anne. She has also shown at the Laura & Andrew McCain Art Gallery, Flourenceville, Seacoast Gallery & Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre in St. Andrews, Dr. Walter Chestnut Library, Hartland, O’Toole Gallery, Grafton, and Gallery Rat in Queenstown. She exhibits in group shows with Fredericton Society of Artists and Turps.
Her paintings have morphed from realistic to a much freer attitude. Watercolour is still her favourite medium but she also uses acrylic, inks, coloured pencil, and mixed media. The wonderful influence of natural light and nature itself is present in her work today.
